Think you’re done? Think again. #motivation #inspiration #quote #MFRWauthor
I hope those of you who have been tuning in to Wednesday Wisdom have made some progress. I’m proud to count one bag of clothing ready for donation and one-third of a file cabinet drawer filled. 🙂
Here’s some extra motivation:
“You are not finished when you lose. You are finished when you quit.”
The key word—used many times over in this quote—is YOU. (And, of course, that refers to me, too!)
You—we—can slip into bad habits, become frustrated by roadblocks on the way to success, and run out of steam before the finish line.
You can walk away from the cloth and paper and even the emotional mountains and hope they’ll magically disappear.
Whatever you do, you’re the one making the decision.
So, tell me…
What’s your current goal?
Will you strive until you achieve it? Or are you going to cave in and quit?
Hi Barbara. This is right on time for me. I published my own post yesterday titled “Your Precious Power of Enthusiasm.” I did that because I have felt that part leaking out of me lately, and because I generally post what I need to read myself. Yes, the operative word in all of this is “You” or “Me.” We do each have the choice and make the choice on our own. The future is in our hands… in my hands. I hope I don’t drop it. Alice
Hi, Alice – I’m glad you enjoyed the post. Yes, we do have the ability to decide whether to give up or push on, and our futures are definitely in our hands.
As for dropping a goal, I’m sure you won’t! If I’m worried about that myself, I try to think of it as fumbling a ball: we may lose touch with a goal for awhile, but that doesn’t mean it’s out of our reach forever. 🙂
