#WednesdayWisdom – Fighting the fear #MFRWauthor #motivation #positivity
This quote speaks to me in so many ways.
“The greatest mistake you can make in life
is to continually be afraid you will make one.”
– Elbert Hubbard
How many of us miss opportunities because we’re not willing to go out on a limb? Or we sacrifice some truly special moments because we avoid taking a risk?
Or maybe worst of all, how many of us refuse to move forward until we’ve covered all our bases and made sure every single solitary thing is lined up perfectly before we take the next step?
Hate to tell you this.
Hate to admit this.
But nothing is perfect.
And if we wait for that unattainable state of perfection, we’ll never get where we’re meant to be.
For a while now, I’ve been afraid to make certain changes in my life. It’s so much easier to let fear take over, to cling to the status quo. It’s so much more reassuring to hang onto the familiar. But in the near future, I’m planning to let go.
I’m going to throw away the parachute, eliminate the safety net, saw off the tree limb, look fear in the eye, and take the plunge.
It’s a scary thought, but I’m determined to fight the fear – and win.
Want to join me and face down a fear of your own?
All my best,
