Holiday Memories

Oh, the memories that brings back! I remember my dad assembling bicycles, dollhouses, and other gifts Santa had left under the tree.  I also remember the years he discovered the elves had forgotten to include a crucial part that would hold everything together or the all-important batteries that made everything run.

Believe it or not, those are some of the Christmas memories I love best.  Not because my dad was so frustrated but because during many of those years he worked a night job, yet cared enough to stay up to spend Christmas morning with the family…and yes, to fight the frustration of assembling our gifts!
