Wednesday Wisdom: April’s Fools
As we’re now in April, this seems a good time to focus on quotes regarding fools—and there are a lot of them out there.
Quotes, that is.
And maybe fools, too. 😉
“Any man is liable to err, only a fool persists in error.”
– Marcus Tullius Cicero
This reminds me of the old saying about the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Yes, I’m guilty of that one, usually when trying to lay my hands on something in the house. Being a writer, I find that “something” usually involves a piece…or a scrap…of paper. And because I think I remember the size or the shape or the color of the paper, I’ll sometimes overlook that “something”—even when it’s right in front of my nose.
Does that ever happen to you?
I hope you’ll say yes, so I don’t feel like the only fool out here on this day after April Fool’s!
Best,
Barbara
Of course I do that also
Whew – that’s a relief, Beth! Thank you for sharing. 😉
