2 6-20-18 Wednesday Wisdom: Action
“Never mistake motion for action.”
Ernest Hemingway
Don’t know about you, but when I’m overstressed or overtired, I’m certainly guilty of the above, running around like the famed chicken with its head cut off.
Sometimes, when we’re most overwhelmed, our tendency is to think, Just keep moving. As long as I keep going, I’m accomplishing something.
Instead, what we’re often doing is creating chaos.
The solution when I’m most stressed is to come to a halt, take a deep breath, devise a workable game plan, and start again.
When you find yourself moving rather than acting, what do you do?
All my best,
Barbara
