Deadlines and a #snippetsunday post: Dads + dating #MFRWauthor #contemporaryromance

Hi, Readers – I hope all of you in Matthew’s path have made it through safely.

It’s been quiet at the blog this week as I’ve been holed up in the writing cave working on several deadlines for upcoming books.

For today’s Snippet Sunday, we’re flashing back to book two in my current series (The Hitching Post Hotel) with this excerpt from A Rancher of Her Own – and one of my most romantic covers!

“Your dad was strict with you?” Pete asked.

“Oh, yeah. He wouldn’t let me date until I was seventeen.”

“Sounds lenient to me. I’m thinking Rachel should wait till she’s twenty-five.”

She laughed.

The sound drew him to her. He leaned across the table, until only a few inches separated them. “So, tell me about this first date.”

“What do you want to know?”

At the sound of running footsteps approaching the dining room, they both sat back. He had no time to answer her question. Probably the best thing for them both, considering the direction his thoughts were headed…
