Falling into Fall #FridayFun #MFRWauthor #giveaway
Now we’re into autumn, it makes me think of cooler weather, warmer sweaters, and leaves. Lots of leaves.
When I got married, we bought a house on a small piece of property that included two huge oak trees. We enjoyed beautiful autumns watching the trees turn color, and then spent days – if not weeks! – raking up the leaves after they fell.
Fun? Not so much. Except…
It sure gave us plenty of quality time together.
The photo brings back memories of when I was a kid. Of simple pleasures that, as adults, we tend to forget or push aside whenever life gets too hectic. But as kids, we’d rake those leaves into piles, then literally fall into fall.
Doesn’t that pic make you want to do that, too?
If that’s not your idea of fun, what is? Pick your own pleasure:
- Carving pumpkins
- Baking (or eating!) pumpkin pie
- Choosing a Halloween costume
- Taking scenic drives to enjoy Fall foliage
- Trick-or-treating
- Drinking pumpkin-spiced coffee
