Wednesday Wisdom: Why people are like trees #MFRWauthor #CharlieBrown #Christmas #quote
Your Wednesday Wisdom quote this week has a holiday theme.
One my favorite holiday movies is A Charlie Brown Christmas, which is turning 50 this year.
There’s a lot of wisdom to be found in movies and cartoons and comics, and in my opinion, one of the best clips from the movie is this quote:
“I never thought it was such a bad little tree.
It’s not bad at all, really.
Maybe it just needs a little love.”
As newborns, we all start off in the same way: vulnerable and innocent and inherently good. And then life intervenes.
We go where our experiences take us, and in our travels we sometimes step off the right road and drift into dangerous places. Getting back onto the right path – or better, avoiding losing our way in the first place – can be tough without some assistance.
That’s why people are like Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree.
Positive reinforcement shapes us. Nurturing helps us grow and thrive. And we all do better with a little love.
All my best,
