  4. Hi, Brandi – I’m with you on the romance, and to me the cowboys are the icing on the cake – oh-so-yummy! 🙂

You’re very welcome for the giveaway.

I hope you have a great week, too.

  5. Oooh! I didn’t answer your question! I love romances… paranormals, western, contemporary, historical (Love my Highlanders :-), sci-fi…

    Thanks again!

  6. Welcome back again, Linda. 😉 Sounds like you’ll never run out of reading material – isn’t that great?

  7. I was so happy to win the birthday bash present of yours and your tuck I am enjoying right now is The Texans Little Secret and that cover is just so cute. I wish you so much success with that one and hope it hits #1 also that people remember when they read your books to review them.

  8. Hi, Peggy – I’m so glad you’re enjoying The Texan’s Little Secret, and congrats again on winning the book! I just love that cover, and as I tell everyone, I owe my publisher’s Art team a big thanks.

Thanks to you, too, for the comment about reviews. I’m always very thankful when people give my books a mention, as reviews and word-of-mouth are two of the best ways for stories to find new readers.

  9. Thanks for the giveaway, I love romance of course but to be more specific I love a book that invokes emotion makes me laugh, cry and a whole gambit of other feelings before I read “The End!”

  10. Beth – you’re welcome! Romances can really put us through an emotional wringer, can’t they? And it seems like the more they do, the more we love them.

  11. Judy – looks like you’re in great company here! 😉

    Thanks for commenting.

  12. My favorite type of book to read I love romances, amish, western, contemporary, historical and others.Thank you for the opportunity to win.Have a wonderful week.

  13. Emma – you’re very welcome!

You sound like a true romance reader, and there can never be too many of those, can there?

Hope you have a fabulous week, too.

  14. I literally love to read everything but fantasy. It all depends on what kind of mood I’m in. 😉

  15. I am an eclectic reader, I read a lot of different genres, mostly fiction. I prefer romance laced through what ever story I’ve been reading. Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of paranormal stories, science fiction, murder mysteries, and historical fiction.

  16. Chrissy – I’m that way, too. Even though I read mostly romance, there’s a wide range to fit my mood.

  17. Jane – Betty Zane was one of the first Zane Grey books I’d ever read!

  18. Marcia – isn’t it great that you can find romance in almost every genre?

  19. Meghan – I’m mostly a contemporary girl but have lots of friends right there with you.

  20. Hi Barb, I love it all except GLBT and historical. I even read YA as a change of pace.

  21. Me, too, Sandie – though I have to admit I’m partial to cowboys. 😉

  22. I love reading romance books, all kinds of romances!
Hand me a romance book and I’m in Novel Heaven!

    Pat C.

  23. Yikes. What a question. My favorite books to read…cowboy. Of course, a cowboy is defined by his actions, not just what he wears or what he does for a living.

  24. I love romance books and if you add a military man or a cowboy that just makes it better!

  25. Leanna – since that’s exactly what I write, I agree with you 110%. 😉 (Also…don’t know if you’ll see this or not, but the heroine of Rancher at Risk is Lianne. Not quite the same as your name, but close!)

  26. I like to read a lot of different genres of books except for Sci-Fi and Stephen King-type books. I really enjoy Historicals about the Old West. And romantic ones are a plus.

  27. Patty – your comment made me LOL! And I agree about the cowboys. They’re just too heroic to be tied to that one label.

  28. Ms. Young – I used to enjoy some horror but my imagination works overtime when I read and horror’s just too much for it.

  29. Jackie – as I just responded to someone else (accidentally out of order), my imagination’s too strong for me to read horror any more. Luckily, even without that and SF, it sounds like you still have plenty to read.

  30. I’ve been reading romance for over 45 years… I have enjoyed all kinds of heros!! Thanks for writing them!

  31. Me, too, Kai. I’m a mystery fan, and romantic suspense gives me the best of both genres.

  32. That’s a good mix there, Mindy. Aren’t you glad all these subgenres came into being?

And you’re very welcome for the contest.

  33. I read a variety of books, but my favorites are mysteries, romantic suspense, and romances with cowboys!

  34. I love Historical Romance and if there are Highlanders in the sory…all the better! ;o)

  35. A perfect trio, Sandra! And lots of those books out there for you to enjoy.

  36. Betty – you won’t find any Highlanders in my stories, but I agree – they definitely are a nice addition to romance, aren’t they?

  37. Joye – you’re in good company. Many people love to read to learn about the past.

  38. Hello Barbara. Not sure what happened, but my comment disappeared. I like a variety od books so hard to pick just one. I’ve read westerns for many years. I used to have a Zane Grey book in my hand most of the time, and I loved Indian books too. Of course I love the Christian books, and Romance, Historical Romance, Amish, Mystery/Suspense. not interested in yje Paranormal kinds. I would love to win this book. Love the cover. Thanks for the give-away. Maxie

  39. My favorite genre is romantic suspense. Thank you so much for the giveaway. I enjoy your books a lot.

  40. Hi, Maxie – sounds like you’re a true reader!

Thanks for the compliment on the cover of The Texan’s Little Secret. I have to admit I love it, too. 😉 Also, just need to point out that this is my current novel, in stores now, and is not part of this particular giveaway. So sorry!

  41. Nancy – you’re very welcome. As I’d said above, I love romantics suspense, too – the best of both worlds, romance and mystery.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I really enjoy writing my stories and am so glad when readers say they like them, too, since that’s what it’s all about for me.

  42. I love to read romance, mystery/suspense, drama, fantasy, paranormal, the classics, or almost anything as long as the story is good.

  43. I’m a mutt. I read a little of everything. Romance of all types most of all, but I throw in some mystery/thriller into the rotation now and then. Anything but horror, that stuff freaks me out. 😉

  44. Ginger – that’s just the thing! It’s easy to get caught up in a book of any genre, if the story sweeps us away.

    Have a good weekend!

  45. LOL on the mutt, Deb. I am, too. And I mentioned somewhere above about the fact I can’t read horror any more!

But I’m definitely with you on romance and mystery.

  46. My very favorite type of book to read is a mystery of some type. I like cozy mysteries, romantic suspense, even some more hard-boiled mysteries. I’m not so much into the ‘thriller’ type mysteries, but lean more to Mary Higgins Clark, Lee Childs when I leave the cozy genre.
But I also like reading romance – and it doesn’t matter if it’s contempory, historical, scottish, regency, etc. I’m not so much an erotic fan, but more the sweet to moderately spicy.
And I like Amish and ‘bonnet’ stories.

  47. Donna – you can choose from quite an array of books. That’s what I love – knowing I’ll never run out of reading material. 😉 Have a great weekend, and I hope you have lots of reading time in there.

  48. My favorite books to read are those with happy endings. No matter how bad things get, I want to know that by that last page, it will all be worked out. Throw in a little romance, a little intrigue or mystery, and the push and pull from characters that keep you reading and I want to read it.

  49. Brenda – I’m a HEA fan, too! I don’t mind if there’s an overarching story (a developing romance or a character’s issues with family in a mystery series, for example), but I want the main story wrapped up.

Some people may love books where detectives track a suspect who eludes them in the final chapter. But if that’s the main story, I want the perp caught.

  50. I loved The Texan’s Little Secret, it was a great story. It is a book I could read over and over again. I have my fingers crossed for this contest!! I love your work. I love cowboy romance books and books with real life characters, ones you can relate to and the characters in this book were definitely that.

  51. Therese – I’m glad you enjoyed the story so much. I love cowboy stories, too, and had a lot of fun writing this one.

And as I consider myself a character-driven writer, your comments absolutely make my day. Thank you!!!

  52. I enjoy reading a lot of different genres and it’s hard to say what is my favorite. I do love contemporary romance and love cowboys.

  53. You’re definitely in good company here, Linda! Many of the readers in the previous comments feel the same. 😉
