Heartwarming characters...hometown charm

Hello from Barbara!

Hi, I’m so glad you decided to visit my Web home and hope you’ll continue to travel along with me on my publishing adventure.

I have to admit it was a long journey from the time I was nine years old until I first saw my words in print and my name on a book cover.

As I tell everyone who will listen, I wouldn’t have survived that long trek without keeping sight of the three Ps:  Persistence.  Perseverance.  And, as my dad would have called it, Pigheadedness.  You know…I guess he’d have been right.

I have to tell you, though, it’s all been worth it—doubled—because that long-awaited sale came with a contract for not one but two books.

When THE SHERIFF’S SON debuted, I was both stunned and thrilled to learn that my first novel had hit the Borders/Waldenbooks Series Bestseller list.   That’s not all the good news, either.  Book two, COURT ME, COWBOY, followed shortly afterward to receive great reviews and several awards.

That nine-year-old wannabe author couldn’t have asked for anything more!

But the adventure didn’t stop there.

Book three, FAMILY MATTERS, received a both a 4-1/2- star Top Pick review and a Reviewers’ Choice Award nomination from RT Book Reviews and is still available in bookstores and online.

And book four, A RANCHER’S PRIDE, also received a 4-1/2-star Top Pick review.

The latest book is THE RODEO MAN’S DAUGHTER, a February 2012 release.  I hope you’ll look for it and enjoy it!

See you along the road.

All my best to you,
